Selling Guidelines/Tagging Instructions

In order to maintain a standard of high quality and make the most of our space, we will accept only the type and number of items listed below.  Please do not exceed these limits.  Thank you!

  • All sellers must register online through our Tagging System software.
  • Minimum price per item is $5.00, and items may be priced in dollar increments.
  • Tags must be attached to items as described in our Tagging Instructions.
  • Spring 2025 There will be a limit of 125 total items per seller and 150 items per volunteer as we begin registration for this event. A maximum of 6 pair of shoes in excellent condition is allowed. (Do not put shoes in zip lock bags.)  The number of items allowed per seller may vary between Spring and Fall events depending on predicted inventory and available space.
  • All sellers must select a drop-off appointment time within their consignor accounts.
  • We accept cash and all major credit/debit cards.  No Returns.  All sales are final!

Acceptable Items for Spring/Summer Sale

Clothing Guidelines for Spring/Summer

Spring and Summer girls and boys clothing in, infant to tween sizes (No maternity).  This includes dress clothes, play clothes, holiday clothes (Easter, Independence Day), dance wear, active wear, swimwear, pajamas (no flannel, fleece, or long sleeves), infant sleepers of high quality fabric and in excellent condition, and clothing accessories.

Items accepted for Spring/Summer
  • Infant and Children's Spring and Summer Clothing (as described above)
  • Girls - Infant to Size 18 (NO maternity) 
  • Boys - Infant to Size 20
  • Shoes in Excellent Condition (limit 6 pair)
  • Quality Swimwear
  • Blue Jeans accepted year round
  • Formal Gowns/Pageant Wear
  • Items that are clean and are not under a product safety recall
  • Toys, Games, Books, etc.
  • Sports Equipment
  • Children's Furniture and Layette Items
  • Outdoor toys, LIttle Tykes slides and houses, children's picnic tables, etc.  Please clean them before you bring them!

Acceptable Items for Fall/Winter Sale

Clothing Guideline for Fall/Winter

Fall and Winter girls and boys clothing in infant to preteen sizes (No juniors/No maternity).  This included dress clothes, play clothes, holiday clothes (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Valentine's), Halloween costumes, jackets, coats, dance wear, active wear, pajamas, (no shorts, short sleeves, or sleeveless gowns), infant sleepers of high quality fabrics and in excellent condition, and clothing accessories.

Items accepted for Fall/Winter
  • Infant and Children's Fall and Winter Clothing (as described above)
  • Girls - Infant to size 18 (NO Maternity)
  • Boys - Infant to size 20 
  • Shoes in Excellent Condition (limit 6 pair)
  • Halloween Costumes
  • Blue Jeans accepted year round
  • Formal Gowns/Pageant Wear
  • Items that are clean and are not under a product safety recall
  • Toys, Games, Books, etc.

Unacceptable Items for Kids' Swap

  • Items that are inappropriate for the current sale season or are made from inappropriate fabrics for the current sale season (Spring/Summer or Fall/Winter)
  • Juniors, Men's, Women's sizes.  We also WILL NOT accept junior or adult clothing that has been re-sized to an equivalent tween size.
  • Maternity Clothing
  • We do not accept hangers with multiple onesies, multiple sleepers, multiple pants, etc. attached to it.  Each hanger should stand alone as EITHER a single piece of clothing that will sell on it's own OR as a complete outfit or set of the same name brand that was originally purchased together (pajama set, matching pants/top, etc.).
  • Items in poor condition (extremely worn, torn, stained, etc.)
  • Incorrectly Tagged Items
  • Used socks in bags (Only new in package socks will be accepted.)
  • Underwear or Training pants
  • Items with missing or Spieces, buttons, or zippers
  • .Stuffed Animals (Build-A-Bear and Squishmellows are exceptions)
  • Smoke-Scented clothing
  • Drop-Side Cribs
  • Items with handwritten tags.  We require use of our online tagging system.
  • Recalled Items
  • Car seats (Travel systems are an exception)
  • Unclean items
  • Diaper Genies
  • Used pacifiers, bottle nipples, nursing bras
  • Battery operated toys without batteries
  • Discount brand sleepers.  We will not accept these sleepers...Gerber, Playtime, Simply Basic, Target brands, Walmart brands, other low end brands.  We receive A LOT of infant sleepers, so we limit these to the highest quality sleepers only.
  • Onesies unless they have a special design (Alabama, Auburn, Christmas, Halloween, etc.) that makes them stand apart or are part of an outfit (Example: pants, shirt) that were originally purchased together.
  • T-shirts that are not brand names, popular logos, or current characters.

Tagging Instructions

We require the use of our online tagging system for creating tags.  If you have concerns regarding how this will work for you, we'll be glad to help with printing if needed.  If you are able to create the tags in the Tagging System but don't have a printer or have problems with your printer, we can print the tags you have created and mail them.  We have also printed tags during drop-off due to a sellers' unexpected printing complications.

TAGS
IMPORTANT things to remember about creating tags:
  1. You must register by 11:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4th.
  2. Tagging entries must be completed in the system by Saturday, April 5th at 10:00 p.m.  You will be able to print your tags after this time, but no new entries will be allowed.
  3. Use 60-67# card stock paper to print your tags.  Please DO NOT use copy paper.  It must be white or pastel in color.  Bar codes will not read on dark, textured, or patterned card stock.  Tags printed on copy paper will not be accepted.
  4. Do not place tape over bar codes.
  5. Do not photocopy your tags for the purpose of multiples.  Each item must have a unique bar code. You can create multiples of a tag in the system with the "power tag" option.  By creating the tags properly, you assign each item a unique bar code which tells your account exactly which item sold, it's price, and gives you the correct credit for the sale.
  6. If you have used My Consignment Manager at another sale and want to transfer items to our sale, there are a few things we will need to help you check before printing your tags.  Please contact us for assistance.

SAFETY PINS
USE MEDIUM/LARGE SAFETY PINS ONLY!
Please avoid those tiny gold, black and silver safety pins and straight pins.  Using strong pins will keep your clothing on its hanger through the whole event!  Attach your safety pin HORIZONTALLY ABOVE the cutting line on your tags.

HANGERS
USE WIRE HANGERS ONLY!  Adult or child size are fine.  It is not our intention that you should buy hangers.  They are often available from friends and dry cleaners.

HANG ITEMS WITH THE HANGER FACING TO THE LEFT, AND PIN THE TAG ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE GARMENT.  SEE THE PICTURES OF TAGGED ITEMS ABOVE.
Clothing outfits should be pinned together on one hanger with the pants or skirt pinned to the outside so both pieces may be seen easily.  Pin pants or skirts to the top side of the hanger rather than the bottom so they won't slide to the side. 
* Please do not hang 3 onesies, 3 sleepers, 3 pair of pants, etc. on one hanger!  We require that each hanger be a single item that can stand alone at a minimum $5.00 price OR a matching outfit/set that was purchased together (pants & shirt, shirt & sweater, etc.) and is in the same size.

We do not accept clothing in zip lock bags.  Your items will sell more quickly if they are easy to view.

PRICING YOUR ITEMS
You set your price.  Price to sell!  In order to maintain high quality and make the most of our space, all items must have a minimum price of $5.00.  If you wouldn't buy an item for $5.00, other buyers won't either.  They are shopping for quality items just like you are.  Save items that cannot be valued for at least $5.00 for yard sales or good will donations.

Again, price to sell!  For clothing, we suggest no more than 1/3 of the original retail price, depending on name brand and condition.

Select "Discount" or "No Discount" when creating your tags.  Tags marked "Yes" for Discount will be on sale on our 25% Off Friday and 50% Off Saturday.

SHOES
LIMIT OF 6 PAIR OF SHOES IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.  Please do not put shoes in zip lock bags.  Use ribbon, twine, or a zip tie to keep shoes together, and then, pin the tag to the tie.

TOYS AND OTHER ITEMS
USE CLEAR PACKAGING TAPE TO ATTACH TAGS TO TOYS AND OTHER ITEMS.  Do not use scotch tape or masking tape!  It will not hold!  Tape the top 1/3 of the card (at the cut line) directly to the toy or on the OUTSIDE of the zip lock bag if grouping items in a bag.  Tape the tops of zip lock bags closed so items do not fall out.  If toys come with small pieces, make sure all pieces are present  in a zip lock bag attached to the toy.

BEDDING
Bedding sets may be placed on hangers and pinned together with large strong pins, or sets may be placed in large clear zipping bags (like the original packaging). 
* Tips:  If it has multiple pieces, it helps the buyer if you are able to include a list of the pieces included in the set.  Buyers also like it when sellers attach a picture of the pieces spread out on the bed.  Also, please don't over price your bedding.  We know it's special to you, and you probably paid a lot for it.  Just remember your buyer is looking to purchase USED bedding and expects a great deal on it!
