Clothe Our Kids of North Alabama is a ministry of First Priority of Greater Decatur whose mission is to provide clothing and shoes to children in need in Morgan and Lawrence Co.
A Message from Clothe our Kids:
"Clothe Our Kids of North Alabama is a non-profit organization with a mission to provide clothing to children in need. This is accomplished by working directly through local school counselors who call and request clothing for a child in need. In order to maintain our mission of helping those most in need, we are not open for public requests for clothing. If a parent contacts us needing clothing for their child we will direct them to their child’s school counselor. All identities are kept confidential by the schools.
Teachers and counselors see our children every day they are aware of the kids in need. They see the children who wear the same clothes to school every day or who come to school in the middle of winter with no coat. That’s why it made so much sense to make our schools the point of contact to help these children.
We are supported solely by community clothing and shoe donations and our goal is to provide a bag of clothing to a child in need within 24-48 hours of being contacted by a school. Each clothing bag contains 5-7 outfits, coat, shoes, a pack of underwear and socks (if our supply allows). We also include gloves and pajamas as they are available.
All clothing and shoe donations are screened for school and weather appropriateness and cleanliness. They are then organized and made ready for distribution. We distribute each bag of clothing directly to the individual school.
We accept sizes newborn through plus-size adult. We ask that all adult clothing donations be style appropriate for teens.
Our heart is to help children and give them hope. Having warm and adequate clothing for school will help set them up for success both academically and socially and tell them they are loved and cared about.

InTrendsic, LLC does not take direct donations for Clothe Our Kids of North Alabama. We do, however, make sure that clothing donations remaining after the completion of our events get to them to help these kids.
